Dr. Lizbeth Torres is a compassionate pediatric dentist dedicated to creating positive, comfortable dental experiences for children and their families. Inspired by her own childhood experiences with a caring and supportive dentist, Dr. Torres chose pediatric dentistry to help children develop confidence and lifelong healthy habits without fear or anxiety.
Dr. Torres is a proud “Triple Graduate” of the University of Connecticut. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences, graduating Magna Cum Laude as an Honors Scholar, before continuing on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She then completed her Pediatric Dentistry Residency at UConn in collaboration with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where she provided specialized care for children of all ages, including those with special health care needs and complex medical conditions.
During her residency, Dr. Torres served as Chief Resident and gained extensive experience in hospital-based dentistry, oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia, emergency dental care, and IV sedation.
Dr. Torres is known for her gentle, calm demeanor and her ability to connect with children and parents alike. She takes time to explain procedures in a clear and approachable way, helping patients feel safe, heard, and confident at every visit. Her goal is to create a true dental home for each child that is fun, educational, and rooted in trust.
Dr. Torres is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Ninth District Dental Association. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Torres is deeply committed to service and advocacy. She attended the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Oral Health Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C., where she advocated to members of Congress on behalf of children’s oral health. Additionally, she has utilized her bilingual skills by providing Spanish dental education to fellow dental students.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Torres enjoys reading novels, watching films, attending musical theater productions, traveling, and spending time with her family. She also holds a second-degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, reflecting her discipline and dedication both inside and outside the office.
